TIMELINE
APPLICATION
Candidates are required to register for auditions. Candidates will need to have their UCSD Student ID number and UCSD email address. The Activity Waiver and Candidate Resume template will be sent to candidates upon registration via their confirmation email from “ryzer.com.” Forms must be uploaded to the application by the deadline. Only complete applications will be considered.

TRYOUT MATERIAL
Candidates must learn all gameday material prior to tryouts. A link will be emailed upon registration and videos will be published after registration closes.
TRYOUT ELIGIBILITY
TRYOUT ATTIRE
We encourage all candidates to display an appropriate collegiate cheerleader image and show up to tryouts ‘performance ready’.
EVALUATION
Stunting: Candidates can demonstrate coed and/or multi-base style stunting as a top, base, or backspot. Tryouts will be an open workshop where candidates can find partners to work on their tryout stunt.
Tumbling: Tumbling is strongly recommended, but not required. Candidates should only show skills they can perform unassisted on hardwood floor. Only back handsprings and above will be evaluated for tumbling.
Gameday: Material should be executed in a collegiate manner, with maximum effort, and suitable for college level and style. Excessive facials are not encouraged. Candidates will audition in groups and perform the following:
Cheer Candidates: Tumbling (if applicable), Triton Fight Song, Sideline Chant, Sideline Dance
Crowdleader Candidates: Tumbling (if appliable), Triton Fight Song, Sideline Chant with Megaphone
Interview: Candidates will be interviewed by a panel of judges. Candidates should be knowledgeable about the university, the athletics program, and cheer program. Candidates should be honest, thorough and concise in their responses. The interview is meant to assess a candidate's character, professionalism, communication and commitment.
WHAT TO BRING
SELECTIONS
All candidates will be notified of decisions at tryouts. If selected for the team, candidates will need to remain at the facility for a mandatory team meeting. Video applicants will be notified via email following tryouts.
